I have been using ProgCAD Professional since 2011 and use it on a daily basis. It is important for my work as a naval architect and marine technical author. A first rate program with no bugs and all at a fair price.

I find Prodgecad24 excellent. However, it has a few short comings as follows: 1. Slower to print pdf's that Autocad 2018 2. There is an issue displaying and printing imported OSI Maps 3. There is a limited number of windows and door designs to import in Easycad. It would be brilliant if I could design the windows and then import them into the drawing. These are small issues. I am very happy with ProdgeCAD 2024.

Great features for little cash

I find ProgeCAD a capable alternative to much more expensive alternatives. Price/performance ratio is simply excellent.

Similar to AutoCad which I was trained on however there seems to be an issue with snaps. Can be very jumpy when trying to snap especially when zoomed in. Other than that it suits my needs.

Having moved from Draftsight & NanoCAD, I've finally found a genuine AutoCAD replacement for the rare times I utilise CAD software. The software sells itself and with the perpetual license, is very good value for money. I'm a very happy customer.

I have been using ProgeCad for a while now and would never return to AutoCad! ProgeCad is not only affordable but what's most important is that it is available as a perpetual licence. I am an interior designer so I use Cad to draw floor plans and elevations for my clients and ProgeCad is just wonderful at that. AutoCad subscription is overpriced and not worth it in comparison to ProgeCad. I'm so delighted I finally have my perfect CAD software without breaking the bank. Having used autocad since the 80s with previous employers, and over the last 20 years as a self employed person, I was at the point where I have paid a small fortune on upgrades and new revisions. Therefore a little dubious about switching over to ProgCad. Surprisingly it works very well and I have had no issues using it. I am far from being fully conversant with it, but overall it does everything I want plus plus plus.

I approached ProgeCAD a couple of years ago, with the clear intention of reducing the cost of my business without losing quality. And definitely, it worked out! ProgeCAD is an AutoCAD without the crazy cost and the 'unfair' subscription obligation. You can buy ProgeCAD, and the license stays with you forever, if you want to renew it you can if not you won't lose what you bought. Unfortunately, it cannot be said the same with AutoCAD. I highly recommend ProgeCAD, a great alternative to AutoCAD Full or Light.

Migrated after more than 20 years with Autocad. I am not a power user. I use it for schematics, room layouts and technical furniture using simple 3d drawings. I use attribute data extract for schematic details. It all works very well. It took me some timeto get used to the riibbons but the CLI is very familiar. Very happy with the change

Software generally very good. Tried to get some lisps to work but failed. A decent electrical schematic package add on would be good. Tried the ones that are existing but they ended up being very manumatic which I was having to do anyway.

Good low cost alternative to AutoCAD, we've used Graebert Ares CAD before and we've found ProgeCAD to be just as good but better value. Does everything we need it to.

I've been using ProgeCAD since 2020, coming from multi decades of being an AutoCAD user, lisp writer and although ProgeCAD does have some limitations on zoomed in line details ie lines may appear unstacked or unsnapped when they are actually stacked/snapped, on the whole its running at 99% of AutoCAD capabilities but at a tenth of the price, hence I won't be going back to AutoCAD! There is not enough profit margin in my line of work anymore to warrant the silly expense of AutoCAD. With ProgeCAD I can do a lot more than I could with Standard AutoCAD, such as 3D buildings modelling & rendering, without having to buy extra software modules. A number of years ago, after an extensive evaluation of .dwg alternatives, I switched to ProgeCAD Pro from AutoDesk AutoCad Lite because its cost had become prohibitive. Since then, the program has worked well and reliably. Any problems encountered have been dealt with by the excellent Technical Help office in Como, Italy using email with, normally, a quick response.

I am gradually "mastering" the relatively minor dissimilarities in addition to the highly effective improvements compared to AutoCAD. I am finding the software very useful and, for the cost, an absolute bargain in all honesty. You put Autodesk to shame in my view. It seems to do everything that Autocad can do, although I find it a bit slow to load - but that's probably more to do with my rather ancient desktop. I understand that ProgeCAD is very similar to AutoCAD but AutoCAD has had 24 years of upgrades from the version I have been using, so I would probably struggle with both anyway. Very similar to Autocad in many respects and for the price an excellent and affordable way to go if you need a comprehensive drawing package.

My first introduction to CAD using " Computervision" software followed by "Prime Medusa" and finally Autocad 12. Progecad provides all facilities required for 3D modelling along with some features which assist very well when associating with projects where Solidworks is involved and more recently when exporting to STL files for 3D printing. Finally, I am completely satisfied with Progecad and unlikely to revert back to Autocad

I just want to say that I've been using ProgeCAD for a few years now, and I have to say that I'm blown away by the sophistication and capability of the software. To be clear I haven't used or accessed all the functions and controls because I wouldn't describe myself as a "power user", but as general day to day CAD software it's faultless, and comparable with the best software out there. In addition, as one of the most competitively priced software packages in the market, you certainly get a lot of "bang for your buck".

I have been using ProgeCAD for a number of years now and find it to be easy to use and just as good as AutoCAD for the applications I need. I have used other Intellicad based cad programs but they do not seem as refined as ProgeCAD. This is an excellent choice for any individual or business and the price is definitely right. I only use a few tools on ProgeCAD so I have not tested the software fully. But for what I use it for it is excellent. I have no problems with it. Considering it is a fraction of the cost of AutoCAD, I am very happy!

I have used many cad products and found ProgeCad to be one of the easiest and powerful software for my design needs and at the price it cannot be beaten. When I have been stuck with an issue the help has been first class.

I am an occasional user of ProgeCAD, having spent many years using AutoCAD Lite. Whilst I'd become reasonably proficient at AutoCAD, I find ProgeCAD much harder to use, but if I spent a lot of time customising it, it might be better. It also seems a bit sluggish. So for me, as a fairly un-typical user I'd rate it 'medium' - I can get the job done, but it always feels like rather hard work.

I have had several versions of this program. The latest upgrade has introduced a bug. It does not release a selected item without multiple clicks on the esc button. It is all but unusable for efficient work.

I first learned AutoCAD back at version 12. We were fed up at the cost of AutoCAD, no shock, and so tried ProgeCAD. Seamless change over. A big plus was having the two copies. (only one to be used at a time, fair enough) So one on an office computer and one on a tablet I can take to site with me. At Redhouse Forge we design and make feature metalwork. In 2018 I was looking for cheap Cad program, when I came across ProgeCad 2018 which I have been using till now. If you have used AutoCad the interface in ProgeCad with few differance's, Is the same. You can buy, ProgeCad for under £500 and with a Perpetual liceance, unlike AutoCad which you have to subcribe. If you what to design Concord than use AutoCad, for us that live in the real world use ProgeCad. By using my ProgeCad 2018 key I have now upgraded to ProgeCad 2024 for under £200 and still can use ProgeCad 2018, try it you have nothing to lose. Andy styx.

Once i got round to trying it, I was straight on to my MD to get it purchased. Like everyone says its is great value for money especially for a smaller company like us. we can't justify the cost of an AutoCad licence, but a one off progeCAD licence gives me the ability to open all drawings sent in by customers, especially the STL / STEP files everyone seems to use now . It does everything I needed it to do and so much more. it really is a "no brainer" , can not recommend enough.

I've been using ProgeCAD since release 2014 together with AutoCAD Building Design Suite 2013. ProgeCAD 2014 I found to be a great alternative to AutoCAD as it was a near seamless transition, It did have some drawbacks, one being that it did not have a 'Deselect All' command on the right click menu. I highlighted this to ProgeCAD support who I found to be very helpful in respondingresolving any issues I encountered. I upgraded from 2014 to 2016 and purchased a Network Licence allowing me to work at home and in the office without having to migrate licences. ProgeCAD is a super product, which has excellent functionality - perpertual licence for a fraction of other software - I would recommend highly. I have used it for over a year with zero issues.

Things have gone well... Progecad has been a solid replacement for Autocad offering as far as I can tell like for like functionality in a perpetual license package. Axonware have been responsive and helpful when install changes have been required.

Progecad is a nice alternative to autocad... and from what i can see it's functionally the same. Support from Axonware appears to be solid so all's well. With a perpetual license less than a year subscription with autocad... you can't go wrong!

2022 version now installed, activated and working well. The floating text editor has gone but is replaced by an editor in the Ribbon which works well as long as you remember to activate the ruler. I took this opportunity to change from the CAD Classic command layout to the full Ribbon but then changed to Beginner Ribbon because I missed the drop down menus, especially under FILE. What I like is that ProgeCAD Pro provides these options. The iCare help system works well because you're in contact with a real human being and now I've got a screen video recorder installed, I can send a video of any problem I have and they will respond likewise with the solution. I was looking for something to replace autocad due to what I regard as - Autodesk's outrageous behaviour - ceasing to issue activation codes for older copies of their software, even when it still works fine on windows 10 and was purchased on perpetual licence. So I tried several other cad packages including Projecad initially on the 30 day trial period. I am only a fairly basic level cad user and so I haven't tested the most advanced features - I don't need them anyway. I got the company I work for to invest in a cad solution to replace AutoCAD LT. I found ProgeCAD 19. I had a look at other software but Progecad seemed to fit the bill. We got three licences and have issued to my colleges. I have many years of working with AutoCAD LT 2007 and found the transaction far more simple than I thought. The additional features are most welcome especially the pdf converter. My colleges are not conversant with #CAD but are picking up the basics very quickly. Excellent product with a permanent licence!

ProgeCad is a nice piece of software. I don't use it as my primary drawing software. But when I use it and for what I use it (among other convertion of PDF drawings to dwg/dxf), then it works perfectly for me. And then - it can minimum the same as AutoCad, if not more and is much cheaper. So I can only recommend ProgeCad as an alternative to AutoCad and similar, especially for small / one-man companies, like mine. For example for architects who has a one-man company I think it would be an advantage to use ProgeCad. Other than that, the service and support is also very good and friendly.

An excellent alternative to a more well known drafting software program, of which I previously used the LT version of. I have found the migration to ProgeCAD to be a seamless experience, and other than slightly different icons and terminology (which are intuitive), I found I could use it straight off with no additional learning necessary. I have no regrets in my choice of this software, and have absolutely no hesitation in rating it with top marks.

As a regular AutoCAD user I moved to ProgeCAD when I started my own business. For my purposes the software offers everything I need and more, and represents exceptional value for money against the mainstream products. As a UK distributor Axonware have been very supportive throught the process and respond quickly in the event there are any issues. I recently experienced an issue arising from an incompatibilty of some of my resident system software and the issue was quickly resolved with Axonware's assistance to my compete satisfaction - this greatly minimised the downtime to my business activities. Overall I am delighted with the service and support on offer.

I liked the program a lot, very familiar layout, I use Autocad full version, and I felt quite at home with it. Imported a few files , worked on them and exported them back to Autocad seamlessly. I do quite a bit of work nowadays in 3D, who doesn't, and I personally find the Autocad on screen cube very useful, being able to keep track of where I am and switching to new coordinate systems on the fly with a few desktop clicks is crazy quick and has become part of my workflow. As a long term (27 years) AutoCAD user I was very impressed with ProgeCAD, there is little in the way of any learning curve, the iconography and usability seem so familiar and the value for money just speaks for itself. Look forward to future versions of this software too!

ProgeCad is the best software ever, it does everything we need for a small electrical manufacturer and more. The PDF Add-On functions are great, with lots of other features for such a low cost.

ProgeCAD has a revised layout with a few changes to the tool items. Once I got into them I was fine. I use the Classic format and that does everything I use CAD for. I have found over the years (switching from LT in 2010) that ProgeCAD is at least as good as LT. The order system with Axonware has provided very good service when ever any minor problems have occurred.

This is a very cost effective alternative to AutoCad and I have used it for around 5 years now. As with all CAD software, it suffers isolated gliches (but certainly no more than AutoCad!) - overall it is very good to use. The staff at Axonware are also very responsive if any queries arise.

I am delighted with the ProgeCad software I bought last year. The price was commensurate with my personal design needs and the use of the software flows simply and seamlessly from my former training in AutoCad.

I would recommend it to colleagues and employers. I would probably give it a 5 simply because its a complete package but doesn't weigh my system down like autocad does.

I need to switch frequently between Mechanical Desktop R6 (AutoCAD 2002 based) and another similarly capable CAD with good command compatibility. I'm currently using ProgeCad 2009 to tutor a friend with no previous CAD expertise and he is picking it up well and enjoying it. ProgeCAD gets a big thumbs up from both a long time AutoCAD user and the new recruit to mechanical CAD. It is truly capable enough for professional use, easy for AutoCAD users and fits the hobbyist's and infrequent users pocket too.

It is 95% as capable as auto cad, and not as heavy. Only troubles have related to hatching and sensitivity of snaps, the latter I could probably sort out through settings.

Been using Progecad since 2006 and I am always delighted with the ease of use, functionality and quality of the software. Both Progesoft and Axonware are also very helpful and quick to assist with any queries.

ProgeCad is a value for money package, and I use it for updating legacy data. I have had no formal training and it seems quite easy to use for what I need.

Great product - great price

As an ex AutoCAD user I found it easy to use and powerful. The interface is easy to use and I was able to import an old DWG file, which was the main reason for the download. It has a good professional feel and I would recommend its use to both casual and professional users. John
