I was looking for something to replace autocad due to what I regard as - Autodesk's outrageous behaviour - ceasing to issue activation codes for older copies of their software, even when it still works fine on windows 10 and was purchased on perpetual licence. So I tried several other cad packages including Projecad initially on the 30 day trial period.
I am only a fairly basic level cad user and so I haven't tested the most advanced features - I don't need them anyway.
It took me half an hour or less to configure projecad to look identical to the autocad , (which I am used to), and there was no learning curve.
It reliably opens my fairly large .dwg files with all my existing drawings in the same workspace. looks the same as auto cad , works the same as autocad.
Licence is perpetual and reasonably priced. For anyone who needs a replacement for autocad this is the best I have found for a reasonable price.
